Ms. Wilson gave each of her students a tiny furry critter. The students then had to construct a home for their critter. Everyone enjoyed building the animal shelters after reading the book: And So They Build. It was an amazing extension to our Reader's Workshop lesson.
Mrs. Cerullo & Ms. Wilson's classes joined together to build candy pumpkin catapults. The students visited a variety of stations to test for accuracy & distance. It was more challenging than the students anticipated but, so much fun!
3C has started working on its first research project. The students are working on a poster project about the USA 🇺🇸.
Ms. Wilson's 3rd graders had a wonderful time picking the perfect pumpkins 🎃 at the Belmont Pumpkin Patch. Thank you to our incredible PTA!!!!

Buddy classes, 3C and 5B experimented with chemical reactions with invisible ink painting. The students were impressed and amazed when their 'invisible' pictures came to life right before their eyes.

Belmont wears pink in support of the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition
Belmont had an amazing "Healthy Run" students were able to get outside and run around the track. Thank you to Ms. Kirby, Mr. Vanterpool, and the parents who helped.
Today Ms. Wilson's and Mrs. Cerullo's classes listened to the story: Bonaparte Falls Apart. Then the buddies worked together to create symmetrical skeletons using skull stickers and QTips. 3C and 5B love working together on STEAM projects.
Class 3C had a blast running in the Belmont Healthy Run 2023! But, their favorite part was eating the delicious breakfast supplied by our awesome PTA!! ❤️

3C had lots of fun today creating new words using their Fundations skills. Everyone's favorite part was creating silly words for their partners to read aloud.
Ms. Wilson's class 3C and Mrs. Cerullo's class 5B completed their first STEM activity of the year. The buddies tried to save 'Fred', the gummy worm from drowning using nothing but 4 paper clips and teamwork.We had a great time working together and enjoyed a tasty treat!!
3C and 5B have worked hard and played hard being class buddies all year. Now it's time to have a little fun!
