Fifth Graders had a lovely visit from Officer Richardson to learn about bullying and how to be an ally and not a bystander to those who face bullying.
Ms. Wilson's 3rd graders had a blast counting down to 12 o'clock (noon that is 😉). We counted down to noon by lowering a glow ball, toasted one another with sparkling cider, danced, and shared resolutions, and ate some yummy snacks. Happy New Year 🎊
Students had a great time at the PTA Snowed in Movie Night!
Students in grades 4 and 5 are participating in an interactive program called "Friendships Across Differences." The program will include discussions and activities to foster positive relationships among students with diverse backgrounds.

Ms. Wilson's class created colorful cereal wreaths for the animals that call the area around our school and homes, home.

Students in Mrs. Floyd and Mr. Morley's third grade class read Balloons over Broadway and were so inspired they decided to make their very own balloons!!!!

We are thankful to the students, families, and staff of the North Babylon School District for the amazing start to the school year that we have had. This fall we have seen our students engaged in classroom lessons, attending to their academic studies, preparing for musical concerts and performances, writing, researching, problem solving, competing on the athletic fields, and leading community service work. We truly have so much to be thankful for here in the North Babylon School District community, and we are very thankful for the opportunities that our community provides for our students.
Hopefully this long Holiday weekend will be an opportunity for you to relax and recharge as you celebrate and give thanks with family and friends. Please take a moment to review the important letter attached related to free breakfast and lunch for all students. We are pleased to share that due to the expanded access to the free meal program, that all North Babylon students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch starting on December 1, 2023.
Lastly, our County Champion Varsity Football team is playing in the Long Island Championship this Saturday at noon. Please join us at Stony Brook University if you are able to attend. A BIG shout out to the NBFD volunteers for teaching our children about fire safety! A special thank you to one of Ms. Wilson's former students, Robert Howell. He knew at 6yrs. old that he was going to be a firefighter and help our community. 🚒🚑🧯
