Students at Belmont were excited to welcome Brian Heinz for a recent author's visit during PARP. Students in grades K-5 listened as Mr. Heinz shared stories and used a mural board to explain the process of how to publish a book.

Troop 3693 spent time working towards earning their Bronze Project Award with the help of Mr. Morley, Mrs. Glasser & Ms. McGloin by creating a sensory pathway. The girls spent time learning about the benefits of a sensory walk & choosing exercises for the students of Belmont.
Happy Multicultural Day from KB! Today we learned about the different countries that that our families are from and shared something interesting that is unique to our cultures.
Today we had the opportunity to participate in a really cool Makerspace project. We learned about creating complete circuits using a Makey Makey circuit board, wires, and other items. After completing a circuit we were able to play piano 🎹 sounds.
Our amazing class moms helped us welcome in the spring season. We painted beautiful birdhouses and then enjoyed an incredible and creative snack!!! It looked just like a bird sitting in a nest 🪺!!! Yummy 😋 🪺

Students at Belmont participated in the Library Makerspace Snowmen at Night Event!! They were super excited to immerse themselves into the winter wonderland. Every grade level came to visit and experienced coding, creating and constructing.
The fourth graders had fun creating Native American projects at home!
Throughout the month of February, the fourth graders used their library databases to research a famous African American. We enjoyed learning more about their lives and their contributions to our world. Thank you to Ms. Olsen for her help.
KB had the best time celebrating the 💯th day of school!
3C and 5B wrote interesting stories using Valentine Candy conversation hearts ❤️. It was amazing to see how creative the students were with their story writing.
3B has been learning all about China. In honor of the year of the dragon the class made dragon puppets to celebrate.
Belmont had a special winter concert presented by the fourth and fifth graders!
The 4th grade classes are learning about the human body. This week, they created their own "robot fingers" and then worked together to create "robot hands." They were so much fun to create and gave us a better understanding of how our hands work!
The fifth grade students from Belmont Elementary had an insightful learning opportunity at the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center in Glen Cove.
