MGV Students Showcase Math Skills in Multiplication Bee
Third grade students at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School recently put their mathematics skills to the test during the school's annual Multiplication Bee on May 29.
After spending weeks practicing multiplication facts and sharpening their problem-solving abilities in the classroom, the top-performing students from each third grade class were selected to compete in the event.
Fourteen participants advanced to the Multiplication Bee, where they faced off in 12 challenging rounds of increasingly difficult math problems. The competition drew an enthusiastic audience of second and fourth grade students, who cheered on the contestants throughout the event. Participants demonstrated impressive focus, confidence and perseverance as they worked through each round of questions.
The Multiplication Bee provided students with an opportunity to celebrate their mathematical achievements while fostering a love of learning and healthy academic competition.
Congratulations to all of the participants for their hard work and dedication. First place was a tie between Deward and Ayaan, with Asad taking third place!
