Celebrating Dr. Seuss with Stories and Smiles

Posted Date: 03/11/26 (12:00 AM)

On March 2, Ms. Rivera’s class at William E. DeLuca Elementary School celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss with a special reading and engaging, hands-on activities.
Students enjoyed reading “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” and then created ocean-themed Jell-O cups using blue gelatin and Swedish fish to represent fish swimming in the sea.
The activity incorporated both language and math skills, as students practiced listening comprehension, following directions, counting and identifying colors while preparing their treats. Students also created vibrant red and blue fish artwork using painted handprints inside a fishbowl design.
