Belmont Showcases Diversity During World Languages Week
Belmont Elementary School recently hosted World Languages Week, a celebration designed to showcase the many cultures represented within the school community. Organized by English as a New Language teachers Christina Mennuti and Grace Salvaggio, the week featured a variety of engaging activities that highlighted students’ cultural backgrounds and traditions. Throughout the celebration, students delivered speaking presentations about different countries, sharing information about traditional foods, customs and cultural practices. They also performed traditional dances for their peers, bringing energy and authenticity to the event. In addition, students created detailed cultural dioramas representing their countries, demonstrating both creativity and pride in their heritage.
