Spirits Are High as North Babylon Starts New School Year

Excitement was in the air across the North Babylon School District as students returned to classrooms on Sept. 2, marking the official start of the 2025-2026 school year. From the youngest learners to high school seniors beginning their final year, the first day brought joy, anticipation and a sense of community throughout the district.

Teachers, administrators and staff welcomed students with warm greetings at each of the district’s schools. Hallways and classrooms were filled with energy as students reunited with friends, met their new teachers, and settled into their routines. 

Throughout the morning, principals and district leaders visited classrooms to extend their best wishes for a productive year ahead. Teachers focused on building connections, establishing expectations, and fostering a welcoming environment to set the tone for the months to come. With a strong partnership between families, staff and the community, the North Babylon School District is prepared to make the 2025-2026 school year one of growth and accomplishment.
