North Babylon School District has once again been recognized as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). This designation is awarded to school districts across the nation that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to ensuring music remains an integral part of a well-rounded education for every student.
Key highlights of North Babylon’s music program include music instruction beginning in prekindergarten, free access to instrument rentals, the integration of large ensemble rehearsals into the school day, and a high percentage of student participation in music across the district.
“It is an honor to lead such a dedicated department in a community where an importance is placed on access to arts education,” said Elizabeth O’Brien, director of music and art. “I commend our outstanding students and educators for their continued excellence and passion for music education.”
