Budget Vote PSA

Students in the North Babylon High School Television Broadcasting class recently produced an exclusive interview with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham to discuss the upcoming school budget vote and a change in the polling location. Under the guidance of their teacher James Avila, the student-led production showcased their skills both on and off camera. Ayden Sproul was the on-air interviewer, while Myriam Abbas worked the switchboard, Gabriel Rivera ran the sound/teleprompter, Joshua Castelli produced the graphics and Milani Russell and Kasey Ferris were operating the camera.

Second Graders Plant Trees in Honor of Earth Day

In recognition of Earth Day, second graders at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School had a special visit from a representative at Kia Autoworld on April 22. Students learned all about the many ways to reduce, reuse and recycle and how they can do their part to help protect the environment. They learned how important plants and trees are to keeping our environment safe. Each student was gifted a part of a white oak tree to take home with them and plant in honor of Earth Day.
