North Babylon to host a superintendent search community forum

North Babylon to host a superintendent search community forum
Survey also available on district website to gather feedback

On behalf of the trustees of the North Babylon UFSD Board of Education, North Babylon residents are invited to a community forum on Nov. 9 to give feedback for a profile creation for the next superintendent of schools. The board has engaged with District Wise Search Consultants who will lead the forum. Community input will be invaluable to create a profile for the next leader of the North Babylon UFSD. Dr. Laurence Aronstein, interim superintendent, will be in district until February 2023.
The meeting has been scheduled for Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School. For those who are unable to attend in person, a Zoom link is available on the district website, https://www.northbabylonschools.net/o/nbsd/page/superintendent-search.
The participation of all stakeholders is very important during this process. All information gathered will be included anonymously in a report that will be prepared for the board of education.
For those unable to attend the meeting, or for those who prefer to provide their suggestions and opinions privately, a confidential email address has been established by the consultants: NBSupsearch@districtwisesearch.com. A survey has also been created and posted to the district website to gather feedback from community residents to gather opinions on the importance of various characteristics found in effective superintendents.
Emails received by November 28th will be included in the consultant’s report. Emails received after this date will be forwarded to the board of education but will remain anonymous.
