DISTRICT TREASURER
Qualifications:- 2-5 years of experience in either Governmental Accounting, Auditing or Corporate Financial Reporting
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree and/or CPA preferred
- Ability to work independently, multitask and manage deadlines
- The candidate will be expected to embrace continually changing assignments and projects; we are looking for an ambitious problem solver
- Fluency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required; all candidates will be required to take an evaluation
Responsibilities:
- Preparing all required financial reports as required by the Board of Education,
- Superintendent of Schools and by the State or Federal agencies having jurisdiction over public school funds
- Having custody of the School District funds
- Keeping full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements
- Depositing all money and other valuables in the name of the School District in such depositories as may be designated by the Board of Education
- Disbursing the funds of the School District as may be ordered or authorized by the Board of Education and preserving proper vouchers for such disbursements
Compensation will be competitive & commensurate with experience. Full benefits will be offered.
