P.S. I Love You Continues to Grow in District Community

North Babylon was glowing with the color purple, as students, staff and
administration wore purple attire for the district’s annual P.S. I Love You Day celebration.
The annual observance was founded by Brooke DiPalma after she lost her father to suicide.
She created the day to help prevent suicide and bullying.
Throughout the week, students participated in activities that reflected the
importance of spreading kindness to others. This included crafting “I Am Kind” schoolwide
posters, writing compliment letters to family, friends and teachers, participating in a
kindness challenge, posting nice messages on student lockers and creating kindness chains.
In addition, the middle school and high school joined together and organized a P.S. I Love
You Walk/Run on Feb. 12.
The District is proud of the efforts the North Babylon community continues to show
for this cause, including spreading the importance of mental health, self-acceptance, self-
love, perseverance and seeking help when needed.
