Students Learn About the Power of Words

Sixth grade social studies classes at Robert Moses Middle School received a visit from a representative from the Holocaust Museum and Tolerance Center of Nassau County. The virtual visit was led by the center’s Director of Education Avi Marcovitz, Ed.D., Ph.D. (ABD), who enlightened students on the power of words. The lesson discussed how the lives of Martin Luther King Jr. and Elie Wiesel positively affected society, while that of Adolf Hitler negatively impacted society.
