The North Babylon Union Free School District would like to congratulate Robert Moses Middle School sixth grader Ryan Zayer for taking second place in the Town of Babylon Veterans’ Awareness Week Essay Contest.
The New York State Assembly passed a resolution in 2004 to set aside the week before Veterans Day as Veterans’ Awareness Week in the state. This annual event honors veterans and recognizes students from the community for their essay submissions about veterans that inspire them.
The District applauds Ryan for his efforts in honoring local veterans.
