In celebration of Black History Month in February, students at Woods Road Elementary School were treated to a special performance by members of the Phyllis Rose Dance Company on Feb. 27. Through the use of different costumes and instruments, the dancers portrayed various cultures and time periods in African American history. Students had the opportunity for movement and interaction as well, practicing the moves alongside the dancers.
