Third graders in Ms. Campo’s class at William E. DeLuca Elementary School have been studying fossils, changing environments and the animals through the years. After learning about different types of dinosaurs – including the velociraptor, deinonychus and sanjuansaurus – the students conducted an experiment to see if they could outrun the dinosaurs. They learned the different strides that each dinosaur took and measured them against eight of their own running strides. Unfortunately, the third graders learned they would never survive been chased by a dinosaur.
