Students in grades four and five at Belmont Elementary School recently participated in a three-week interactive program called “Friendships Across Differences.” The program included discussions and activities to foster positive relationships among students with diverse backgrounds. Students engaged in hands-on activities and group projects to promote teamwork, cooperation and unity. Students learned effective communication skills to discuss differences respectfully.  The program worked to cultivate empathy and courage among students to build friendships across differences.
