Students smiling at the camera

The newspaper club at Robert Moses Middle School has restarted and is publishing the “Paw Print” newspaper, under the advisement of teacher Mrs. Marchionna, The club has been inactive for a number of years.

The online newspaper features interviews with staff and relevant content to appeal to the middle school students. The club is open to all students, who brainstorm the content for each of the editions.

According to Mrs. Marchionna, students choose what interviews they would like to conduct and take the lead in the writing process. After the writing process, the students edit and submit the content for publication. The club meets weekly and there are currently 16 members. The goal is to produce three editions of the four-page newspaper – which is available both in print and online – per year.
