Students smiling at the camera

The Math Marvels at William E. DeLuca Elementary School are hard at work on their mathematics skills this month. The fourth and fifth graders in the club are chosen based on their scores on the fall assessments. There are currently 12 students in the group, who meet every Tuesday after school. Under the advisement of teacher Kelly Gregorio, the Math Marvels students work on higher level math skills, mainly in a team-based learning environment. Working in small groups, they solve different math problems using various methods. The students compete both virtually and test on their own and submit scoring.
