Students next to art pieces

The fifth grade students at Belmont Elementary School recently completed their study of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They learned that the act protects the freedom and equality of individuals everywhere. As a culminating activity, students researched an influential human rights activist, an individual who has overcome adversity or helped lead the charge for human rights. Each fifth grader then created a life-sized poster of the individual featuring facts about their life. The posters are now on display in the hallways throughout Belmont Elementary for all students to view.
