Members of the ALS Ride for Life organization with students

Members of the ALS Ride for Life organization visited North Babylon on May 10 to raise awareness and funds for their cause. Beginning at North Babylon High School, the ride by was led by the North Babylon Fire Department and followed by the North Babylon High School marching band. At Marion G. Vedder Elementary School, students and staff lined the school’s driveway, holding up signs of encouragement and inspiration. ALS Ride for Life will visiting schools across Long Island from May 8-19. The organization was founded in 1997 with the mission of raising research funds to find a cure for ALS, supporting patients and their families through patient services and increasing public awareness.
