Student-Artist stands with artwork

Student-artists from across the district opened the district art show at Town of Babylon Town Hall on April 18. Students, teachers, families and friends enjoyed touring the show that celebrated selected works from students.

Town of Babylon officials Rich Schaffer, Anthony Martinez, Dwayne Johnson and Gerry Competillo, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham and Deputy Superintendent Kim Skillen joined in the high school award ceremony, where the best in show for multiple categories were celebrated.

Elizabeth O’Brien, director of music and art said, “North Babylon artists and their teachers are proud to partner with the Town of Babylon to celebrate the work that goes on in our classrooms. We are genuinely honored by the support from our elected officials, parents and community for hosting and attending our art show.”

Select pieces of art from throughout the district will be on display until May 18. Guests are encouraged to visit town hall during regular business hours to view the works.
