As a culminating activity on their study of China, third graders at Woods Road Elementary School celebrated the Chinese New Year with crafts, food and games on March 3. The students have been learning about Chinese culture as part of their social studies curriculum during the last few weeks. They studied the cultures, traditions, people and foods. The students played traditional Chinese games and created different crafts in their classrooms and joined together in the cafeteria to taste different Chinese foods including dumplings, eggrolls and fried rice.
