Students using hoola hoops while in the gym

Students at Woods Road Elementary School showed just how heart healthy they are by participating in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge on March 3. Students rotated through different wellness-based activities including hula hoops, jump rope and more. This year, the school beat its previous fundraising goals and raised almost $24,000 to be donated to the American Heart Association. Two hundred and twenty students registered for the challenge.
