North Babylon High School senior Yolda Anelus recently completed her civic action project for the Seal of Civic Readiness. Her project was focused on period poverty and the impact of not having access to hygiene products for women worldwide. In her presentation, she spoke about delivering the hygiene products she had purchased along with donations to the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless. Anelus continues to be an advocate to help end period poverty.
