Students during the event.

Woods Road Elementary School participated in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge on March 5 to raise money and awareness for heart disease. Students learned about making healthy eating choices and getting enough rest each night while also staying active with at least 60 minutes of exercise each day. During their physical education classes, students jumped rope, played helicopter, cornhole and more while raising money for the cause. Members of the Parent-Teacher Association handed out waters and apples for each student. This year, Woods Road has a goal of raising $24,000.
