Attention all RMMS Grade 6 Parents/Guardians and Students:
I hope you are enjoying your time with family and friends. It may be hard to comprehend but your child will be a Middle School student starting in August. It is normal to have nervous feelings with a transition to a new school, but be encouraged by the fact that your child will be
met by an amazing staff. We are excited to welcome them to our RMMS family.
To assist with the transition from Elementary to Middle School, you are cordially invited to the 2023 Robert Moses Middle School Grade 6 Orientation and Locker Day on Friday, August 25th. Student schedules will be available for you to view and print from the parent portal before Orientation. We will thrillshare an email message to you on August 24th to view your child's schedule. Please bring your child's schedule/locker information with you and join us in the student cafeteria at your scheduled time. You will be receiving a letter informing you of your child’s team # and orientation time, within the next few days.
During this time, parents and students will have the opportunity to learn about the Middle School experience, visit their locker and explore the building. We will also be providing picture day for our 6th graders for them to receive their Student ID’s.
In the event you are unable to make 6th grade orientation, the make-up day for all teams will be on Monday, August 28th from 9:30am - 11:00am. Your child will be able to have their picture taken for their ID card as well.
Feel free to bring in any school supplies your child would like to place in their locker. Our PTA will be selling Robert Moses apparel and accepting 2023-2024 memberships. We encourage everyone to join the PTA. Robert Moses Student Ambassadors will be available to guide you through the building. Administrators, guidance counselors and staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
