MGV First Graders in Ms. Colichio's and Mrs. Lospinuso's classrooms celebrated our community of North Babylon this past month. Students identified locations in North Babylon, including schools, businesses, offices and homes then each replicated one of them as a free standing structure. They gave each location their own personal touch but it was evident that they knew the importance of this part of their community. The students then arranged each creation into one large replica of the North Babylon Community. It was clear that they had learned not just about the parts of the community they live in but also about how each part of the community plays an important role in the success, happiness and well being of the entire community. North Babylon is the place to be! Wonderful work Grade 1!
