The North Babylon School District was thrilled to welcome students back to school on Sept.14. Staff, waiting with a smile, greeted students at school entrances, where they took their temperatures as part of the district’s new health and safety procedures.
The district’s reopening plan allowed for families to choose between a hybrid, in-person or remote education model. Students, whose families chose the remote model, also began classes on Sept. 14. Remote instruction will include a combination of daily synchronous instruction using Google Meet and asynchronous instruction using Google Classroom and other software applications.
After settling in, teachers introduced all students to their new learning environments and initiated ice-breaking activities for classmates to safely interact with their peers, make new friends and reconnect with old ones.
The North Babylon School District looks forward to a safe and productive 2020-2021 school year!
