Title I Information
TITLE I School Parent Notification
William E. DeLuca Jr. Elementary School has been designated as a Title I school for the 2020-2021 school year. Title I schools are provided academic intervention assistance to eligible students from the federal government. For additional information, please refer to North Babylon UFSD Board of Education Policy #7660 - Parental Involvement Policy Adopted 6-16-16.
NCLB Parent's Right to Know
As per the No Child Left Behind Parents' Right-To-Know requirements, parents have the right to know the qualifications of his/her child's classroom teacher(s) and paraprofessional staff.
You are entitled to know:
Whether the teacher has met the State certification criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State certification criteria have been waived;
The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree; and
Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
