DTSDE Spring Surveys

May 9, 2022

Dear North Babylon Parents / Guardians,

The North Babylon School District is committed to providing your children with a high-quality education, embracing changes that meet their diverse academic and social needs, and forging strong relationships with our community. It is important work and your involvement is critical.

That is why I am asking you to participate in our Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness (DTSDE) Survey, which is open Monday, May 16th through Tuesday, May 31st at 8:00 am.  Survey questions address systems and organization, school leadership, curriculum, instruction, social-emotional learning and parent and community engagement.  We see this survey as an opportunity to have a community-wide conversation about how we can provide your children with the skills and support they need to reach their full potential.

The online survey is compatible with any computer, tablet, or smartphone. You will receive an email invitation and survey link. You may also take the survey by going to K12 Insight NBUFSD Parent / Guardian Survey or clicking the link on the district website, building webpages or social media pages.  The link to the survey will not be available before Monday, May 16th at 5:00 am.  The survey is offered in English, Spanish & Haitian Creole.

We are also asking teachers K-12 and students in grades 3-12 to take the survey.  Students will be given the opportunity to participate in the survey during the school day beginning Monday, May 16th by a link that will be sent out on Chromebooks.  If you do not wish to have your child participate in the survey, please contact your child’s classroom teacher (3-5) or Social Studies teacher (6-12).  All survey responses are strictly confidential. We are partnering with independent research and communications firm K12 Insight to administer the survey and compile the results. No one from the District will know who participates or how they respond, so please be candid.

By partnering with you, I know we can set up every student for success. Thank you for your continued support of the North Babylon School District.

Sincerely,

Glen A. Eschbach

Superintendent
