NORTH BABYLON SCHOOL DISTRICT

The District is excited to announce that High School senior Michael Fuentes has
been named a winner in the 2022 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. He is among 150 students
nationwide to be selected for this distinction and received a $20,000 college scholarship.
More than 68,000 applicants and 1,617 semifinalists nationwide participated in the
scholarship program. Michael earned the winning title after advancing to the regional
finalist level of the competition and participating in a 20-minute interview with the
program’s Regional Interview Committee. After showcasing his leadership skills, academic
achievements and community service, Michael was officially selected as a 2022 Coca-Cola
Scholar.
The District is proud of Michael’s achievement and applauds his continued
dedication to his academics and extracurricular activities.
