The North Babylon School District is proud to announce that Director of Social
Studies K-12 Krystle Barnett was recently honored during New York State Senator Phil
Boyle’s ninth annual Hispanic Heritage Month Awards Ceremony. She was among 12
honorees and was nominated by a North Babylon community member.
A North Babylon resident of Cuban descent, Mrs. Barnett was selected for her
tremendous contributions she has made to the culture and lives of Hispanic individuals in
the community. Her work within the North Babylon School District includes implementing
Culturally Proficient, Civic Action and student activism, to name a few.
The District applauds Mrs. Barnett’s on this wonderful recognition and her
continued dedication to the North Babylon community.
