North Babylon students honored at virtual Scholar Artist Awards Ceremony

North Babylon High School seniors Gabriella-Doreen Felice and Kaitlyn Marcis were recognized during a virtual ceremony held by the Long Island Arts Alliance on Thursday, Apr. 29. Earlier this school year, Felice and Marcis received Awards of Merit as part of the Scholar Artist Program. Felice was recognized for her work in theater and Marcis was honored for her excellence in dance.

The Scholar Artist program mirrors the region’s Scholar Athlete programs. It recognizes high school seniors who are nominated by their school districts for excelling in the visual arts, music, dance, theater or media. 20 students are selected to receive an Award of Merit each year.
