Fall athletics season kicks off at North Babylon High School

At North Babylon High School, more than 350 student athletes have hit the field,
pool and courts. The fall athletics season began on March 1 with football, field hockey,
boys and girls soccer and cross country, and girls swimming, tennis, volleyball, sideline
cheer and gymnastics practices.
North Babylon started its first contests on March 8 and by March 13, all teams
will have played in their first contests, with multiple games under their belt for some
teams.
The high school is also running intramurals for softball, baseball and boys and
girls lacrosse. Robert Moses Middle School fall sports is scheduled to begin March 22.
According to Director of Physical Education, Health Education, Recreation and
Athletics Jason Friesen, “Everyone looks excited and energized to be back even if the
fall season is happening in March and April this school year.”
