Marion G. Vedder School second grade students have the wonderful opportunity to have their artwork on display at the Long Island Children’s Museum throughout the month of January. They were able to visit their work in the museum’s Community Gallery during the artists’ reception.

For their exhibit, “Just make a mark and see where it takes you,” students created their own version of the Dot after reading Peter H. Reynolds’ book “The Dot.” Under the direction of art teacher Mrs. Lisa Gregorek, they learned about their emotions and their chances to be creative in a variety of ways. The dot artwork represents students making their mark in art.
