The Elementary and Middle School curricula focus on experiential education with the maximum amount of time focused upon hands-on experimentation and science literacy. The curriculum from Kindergarten through Fourth Grade is designed to prepare students for the Elementary-Level Science (ELS) Assessment. The sequence for students in grades 5-8 is based upon the New York State Intermediate Core Curriculum for science and will prepare students for the Intermediate-Level Science (ILS) Assessment. These exams test students' ability to explain, analyze and interpret scientific processes and phenomena.
