The High School’s cafeteria was packed with more than 200 members of the community, as the district hosted its ENL Family Night K-12.

The theme this year was “My Name, My Voice,” where students created projects that highlighted the significance of their names. Each project was displayed throughout the room. Leading up to the event, students read a collection of picture books surrounding this theme to spark conversation about how a person’s name can reflect their culture, family, identity and individuality.

Students and their families also participated in a variety of name-based crafts/activities, including name bracelets, tactile name crafts, computer storyboards, hand fan decorating and more. They also enjoyed a variety of foods that paralleled these cultures, while the district also assisted families in obtaining a library card.
