The high school is proud to announce that senior Jordan Fuentes has been named a semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. This is an achievement-based scholarship that is awarded to students in recognition of their capacity to lead and serve in their schools and communities.

Fuentes, who was accepted to attend Cornell University next fall, was one of 1,896 students across the nation that were selected as a semifinalist out of more than 95,000 applicants. He will be competing for 150 college scholarships valued at $20,000.

Fuentes said the next step of the scholarship process includes submitting essays and responses that discuss his volunteer work, academics and school activities. The district congratulates Fuentes and wishes him the best of luck.
