The rain could not damper the spirits of the first-graders in Jennifer Kreuscher’s class at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School as they honored their dads at the school’s annual Father’s Day Baseball Game. The special presentation included each student telling the audience the “Top 10 Things I Love About My Dad,” including “he is funny,” “he buys me presents,” and “he loves me.” Additionally, the students read a poem titled, “To Dad on Father’s Day,” sang “Daddy, I Love You,” and, to kick off the game, performed a rousing rendition of the baseball standard “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”

Additionally, the first-graders were featured in a News 12 segment where they were asked “What Makes Dads Special?” Click here to view the video.
