Aligned with the district’s goal to promote social and emotional learning across its schools, the high school hosted Challenge Day on March 6-9.

The program, themed “Be the Change,” included a variety of interactive character education-related activities that tasked students and staff with working together on trust, connection and compassion. Participants learned how to identify their emotions, those of others and understand the cause for specific feelings. They also discovered ways to guide their mindset, focus on self-management, social awareness and good decision-making.
