HS Names 22 AP Scholars

Twenty-two students in the high school’s Class of 2018 have earned the prestigious designation of Advanced Placement Scholar from the College Board due to their outstanding achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement exams.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on a student’s performance on AP exams. Eight students were named AP Scholars with Distinction. Four students were named AP Scholars with Honor and 10 were designated as AP Scholars.

AP Scholars with Distinction
Eight students received AP Scholar with Distinction awards by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are Ryan Arranz, Junianna Borgia, Carolyn Consentino, Kaila Jean-Charles, Richard Joyce, Brett Manzo, Kevin O’Keefe and Matthew Pecoraro.

AP Scholars with Honor
Four students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Haley Dennerlein, Nicholas Jordan, Brian Nelson and Stephanie Reis all achieved this distinction.

AP Scholars
Ten students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. These students are Samantha Broda, Nicola Calabrese, Desmond Crosswell, Hope Cuomo, Emily Guerra, Anthony Incristo, Michael Laino, Justin Mazur, Noah Rothstein and Nicole Taddeo.
