As part of an annual tradition designed to pay tribute to the lives lost during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, students and staff at Parliament gathered on the front lawn for a special ceremony.

Following the Pledge of Allegiance, fifth-graders led the school through a spirited and patriotic performance of “God Bless America,” and Principal Drew Olson read “Choose Love” and spoke about the significance of the day. On the 16th anniversary of that fateful day, students learned about the importance of pride, solidarity and honoring the heroes and the sacrifices they made.
