Fourth- and fifth-graders at Parliament received a visit from Suffolk County Police Department Officer Jeanne Osias, who spoke to them about cyberbullying, internet safety and the importance of good decision-making in the digital age.

Students learned about ways to protect themselves, such as being open and speaking to their parents or guardians. They also discovered what “red flags” to look for when using the computer. The visit was part of the ongoing character education and safety lessons at Parliament.
