The holidays were in full swing at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School in North Babylon as the student body gathered together for their annual Holiday Sing-along. During the annual event, the students sang and performed a mixture of holiday songs, with parents and classmates also getting the opportunity to sing along. Some of the holiday favorites performed by the choirs, band, and orchestra included “Jingle Bells” “Dreidel” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” As an added visual, the younger Vedder students wore their homemade Santa, holiday tree, and reindeer hats.
“Today is an opportunity for the students to celebrate the holidays and to sing together, as well as to highlight all of the wonderful music they’re learning,” remarked Principal Kerry Larke.
