Scholarly Success

Fifty-six students from the high school’s Classes of 2016 and 2017 have earned the prestigious designation of Advanced Placement Scholar from the College Board due to their outstanding achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement exams.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on a student’s performance on AP exams. One student was recognized as a National AP Scholar. Seven students were named AP Scholars with Distinction. Ten students were named AP Scholars with Honor, and 38 were designated as AP Scholars.

National AP Scholar
One student qualified for the National AP Scholar award by receiving an average of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. This student is Alonzo Tabada.

AP Scholars with Distinction
Seven students received AP Scholar with Distinction awards by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are Jamima Chowdhury, Joseph Cuomo,* Brandon Drew, Emily Michele,* Raphael Pido, Jeannie Reyes and Alonzo Tabada.

AP Scholars with Honor
Ten students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Christian Aufiero, Jamaal Boyce,* Michael Glynn,* Jennifer Hesser, Sana Sabir, Jessica Schulteisz, Corinne Sikorski, Elizabeth Sorto,* Zachary Thomas and Samantha Uebel* achieved this distinction.

AP Scholars
Thirty-eight students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. These students are Haggai Anglade,* Kate Aufort, Kathryn Bradley, Casey Carbonaro,* Ryan Cherry,* Jessica Chiu, Jake Colonna, Patrick Crafa,* Madeline Davidson,* Joseph Deblasi, Gladys Eze, Lynus Fortaleza, Emily Haggerty, Sofia Kachurka,* Amiri Lake, Laura Losco, Nina Eleanor Malusay, Rhiannon Mcgloin, Heather Meigel,* Sabrina Melzer, Patrick Murphy,* Arielle Nadler, Jennifer Parlow,* Anthony Pascone, Thomas Pauciullo, Kymberly Rambazis, Daniel Reinoso,* Sydney Rotunno, Andrea Rua Llano,* Rohit Singh, Kaitlyn Sparacio, Madison Stigliano, Terrence Sullivan,* Dianna Unay, Shauneil Williams, Melissa Winter,* Aleeshah Zahid* and Ryan Zdenek.
