Maria DelVecchio’s business students at the high school completed the Suffolk Federal Scholars program, an engaging and interactive online education curriculum, and were awarded certificates to recognize their achievements.

The students were joined by President and CEO of Suffolk Federal Credit Union William O’Brien, district Superintendent Glen Eschbach, high school Principal Jonathan Klomp, Assistant Principal Stephanie Hasandras, Ms. DelVecchio and distinguished guests in attendance.

Earlier in the spring, students in Ms. DelVecchio’s College Accounting and Business Law class received a visit from the vice president of marketing of the SFCU. The students, who are part of the University in the High School program at North Babylon and may elect to take classes for college credit, were prepared with college and career questions. They then engaged in conversation about Mr. O’Brien’s inspiring ascent to president of SFCU, and they learned that they, too, are capable of an equally remarkable rise to success.

The district congratulates the students for successfully completing the Suffolk Federal Scholars Program and earning their certificates of achievement from SFCU.
