Students and staff throughout the high school welcomed the ALS Ride for Life group during its journey from Riverhead to Manhattan. The nonprofit organization raises awareness and funds to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The event, organized by the high school’s Leader’s Club under the direction of adviser Patricia Slozek, featured motivational student performances to the delight of the organization’s members. District staff members and students then joined Ride for Life for a walk through the community. The group expressed its sincerest gratitude for the high school’s remarkable fundraising efforts.
