Vivid Vases at Belmont

Under the tutelage of art teacher Carolyn Whitney, fifth-graders at Belmont celebrated Earth Day by creating stained glass vases using tissue paper and glue.

The vases, which were donated by staff and community members, were transformed into beautiful Mother’s Day gifts by students. As a supplement to the activity, students learned about famous stained glass artist Louis Comfort Tiffany and the craft he perfected.
