As part of a statewide initiative designed to promote the importance of parks and outdoor activities, fourth-graders at Parliament had free passes for admission to state parks printed for themselves and their families.

The program, termed “Every Kid in a Park,” grants every fourth-grader in the state free park access for the entire spring and summer seasons. To showcase their support for the program, Parliament Place faculty members printed the passes and spoke to the students about the importance of nature and the outdoors. Students and their families will be able to use these passes until Aug. 31.
